Münir KARALOĞLU
Governor Of Antalya
Karaloglu was born in Kaptanpasa, Cayeli, Rize in 1964. After he graduated from Kaptanpasa Primary school respectively completed his secondary and high school education at Rize Imam Hatip School (Religious Vocational High School).
In 1985, He began Faculty of Law in Istanbul University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1989. Mr. Karaloglu started his civil servant career as a district governor candidate in 1990 after law apprenticeship. He was sent to the United Kingdom for further studies for eight months during his candidate period.
Mr. Karaloglu became district governor Kırıkkale-Karakecili in 1994. In the same year, he left his post for temporary to carry out his military service and retuned back to his district governor duty in Kerakecili, afterward he served respectively as:
1996-1998 SANLIURFA- Harran District Governor
1998-2000 YOZGAT-Cekerek District Governor
2000-2002 TOKAT-Resadiye District Governor
2002-2003 KIRKLARELI Deputy Governor,
2003-2004 Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Interior. (Advisor to Prime Minister)
10 June 2004-14 June 2009 General Secretary of Kocaeli Municipality.
Karaloglu led to establishment for Local Authorities Public Employers’ Union (YERELSEN) and served as General Directorate of Union until May 2009.
12.06.2009-02.08.2013 Governor of Van Province
04.08.2013-10.06.2016 Governor of Bursa Province
Mr. Karaloglu was appointed as the Governor of Antalya Province by the Council of Ministers’ Decree dated 30.05.2016 which was published on Official Newspaper issued no 29729 on 01 June 2016.
Mr. Karaloglu was deemed to deserve as “Honorary Doctorate” by Mahmud Kasgari Barskani East University which is one of the fundamental university of Republic of Kyrgyzstan
He is married with teacher Sevim Hanım and has two daughters.
